ANXIETY FOR LIFE?

ANXIETY FOR LIFE?

MANY PEOPLE ARE OVERWHELMED WITH ANXIETY AND CAN’T IMAGINE HOW IT WILL EVEN END

I know, because for years I lived with it before I even knew it had a name. Anxiety was one of many symptoms that gradually surfaced but ‘fortunately’ for me, it turned out that my very slow slide into oblivion was due to an autoimmune dis-ease called Hashimotos and anaemia.

I say ‘fortunately’ because there were physiological reasons. With time, lots of educating myself, diet tweaks, supplements and hormone therapy, I am no longer consumed and dictated to by anxiety. None the less, I do know how limited my life had become and how much my family and I had missed out on because I was being controlled by irrational fear.

Unfortunately, for too many people, anxiety doesn’t have a quick diagnosis that promises to fix it. It seems to have become an epidemic of late. There are lots of theory’s as to why – depleted nutrients in our food from over farmed soils, toxins in our drinking water and oceans, chemical sprays, antibiotics, emf’s, mercury fillings, vaccines, sugar laden junk food, social media, addiction and constant pressures in general are just some of the one’s I’ve heard.

RTT and Anxiety..

Whilst I don’t doubt those things all play their part to some degree or other, what I do know is that the subconscious mind is holding on to every stress and trigger you have ever had, as Marisa Peer says, “The feeling that cannot find it’s expression in tears will cause other organs to weep” in other words, if you don’t deal with trauma and stress, if you try to suppress it, eventually it will show up in your body somehow or other.

With weakened immune systems and ramped up stress, plus the social pressure to hide all pain and seem ‘instahappy’, is it any wonder so many of us are just not able to cope. Anxiety is one of many symptoms of modern living and a significant proportion of RTT practitioners are working with clients that have anxiety in one form or another.

Through accessing our clients subconscious mind and helping them peel away the layers of hurt and sorrow we are able to get the root causes, when the root cause is addressed and those old memories lose their charge, amazing shifts happen. The mind is so very powerful and wants to always take care of us, it sometimes believes that what will help us is having reasons to withdraw and isolate ourselves, this may have been a great solution when we were six, but as busy adults it’s an enormous hindrance. When our mind is made aware that those old old interpretations and solutions are outdated and inappropriate, it lets go. With the aid of some very powerful tools to help unravel the pain and reinstate new, positive, powerful understandings, our clients feel lighter, clearer, calmer and more confident often from the moment our first session is complete.

Some FAQ around Anxiety

Can I ever get rid of Anxiety?

Whilst no one can make any guarantees and no one can promise a cure, the simple answer is for many, yes. Tremendous numbers of clients are getting rid of or drastically reducing the severity of anxiety.

Can I treat anxiety naturally?

Yes, RTT is all natural, no drugs, no supplements no diet change. It’s a holistic approach to bringing the programmed mind and the creative mind into synchronicity.
There are many other natural healing modalities to treat anxiety also. Find a respected naturopath, homeopath, Reiki healing, EFT therapist, try meditation and yoga, they both have tremendous calming effect. Also look into CBD oil (if it is legal where you live).
There are also changes you can make right now to reduce the extent of anxiety like eating a balanced diet and getting plenty of regular sleep, exercise daily and spending some time each day in nature will also help. Talking to someone you can trust is always helpful though many anxiety sufferers would rather not let anyone in, if that sounds like you, try writing your feelings down. I’m not an expert and nor am I trained in any of the above (other than RTT) but I know these and other natural therapies do help.

How can I calm anxiety down?

It’s important to stay in the moment, anxiety is a future based fear over things that haven’t yet happened, and, in all likelihood, won’t happen.
Take time to do some deep slow breathing, stay away from caffeine, alcohol, smoking, sugar and avoid stress when ever possible.
Find ways to distract your mind, listen to music, play with a pet or try the 333 game – 333 is a mental trick that can help centre your mind, bringing you back to the present moment.

Look around you and name three things you can see…
Then, name three sounds you hear…
Finally, move three parts of your body.

If that helped, start again doing 444..
Watch something funny on TV, find light-hearted ways to keep distracted if you can and when you’ve calmed enough, scan over your thoughts, be realistic and fact find, try to rationalise the thoughts and look at the situation from different and brighter perspectives..

Be patient with yourself, be as gentle to you as you would be to your best friend, too often we say things to ourselves we would never say to another, even people we don’t like!
