If these resonate with you, it’s possible that you have been diagnosed or have self-diagnosed depression. Depression doesn’t always look like deep dark moods, unable to get on with each day or maintain a social/work life. Depression can be low grade or well masked and can have many underlying reasons which will differ for everyone but can vary from completely overwhelming and life altering mentally and physically, to feeling unmotivated, stuck, lost, scared to make decisions, retreating from family and friends and without any hope for the future yet still functioning on the outside.
Although there can be many current life triggers, like the loss of a loved one, money issues or the end of a relationship, career or friendship, there are emotions and beliefs that you have about yourself on a subconscious level that go back to your young years, and to times where you were made to excluded, hurt, embarrassed, unliked, shamed, belittled, humiliated, vulnerable, abandoned, unseen and more that open up like an old wound each time a current life issues touches those old hurts, even if, on a conscious level, you are unaware of the old trauma.

Your subconscious mind stores every experience you’ve ever had as well as the ways your mind processed those old experiences. As a child, your mind came to some negative conclusions about you and the reasons you were hurt when you were too young to properly reason out situations and make sense of the true reasons.
For example, a child can interpret the sudden sickness or death of a parent or grandparent as something to do with them, maybe that they weren’t well behaved enough or because they didn’t show enough affection or appreciation they were being punished. They may believe their parents divorce or financial struggles are in some way also their fault or even their responsibility to try and mend. They may feel that being bullied by siblings or other kids was because they were weak, unlikeable, unwanted and unpopular whereas in reality, the bully likely had many insecurities and was targeting kids they felt envious of.
Whatever the reason, those old beliefs you came to about YOU are still active in your subconscious mind, even if your conscious mind isn’t aware of them. Not only are they still active, your mind came up with defense mechanisms to make you less comfortable or to steer you away from similar situations.
Over the years of your life your unconscious mind has been observing all situations that triggered a fear or grief response and over time you can get to the point, without really understanding why, but you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, unsettled, many areas of your life seem to be weighed down with anxiety, stress, disconnection and the desire to simply retreat.
These symptoms can lead us to the Doctors where many tests take place looking for hormone imbalances etc. This is important, hormone imbalances and underlying health conditions can play a part in feeling flat but interestingly, it is widely accepted that feeling down can also impact physical health so both need to be explored.
No test at the doctors can understand the driving belief systems of your past. You weren’t born with dread or feeling unworthy. Life situations brought those feelings to you so pills and talking won’t get to the root of the issue.
Most of my clients were on or are on anti-depressants but hated how they felt.

The final of the three therapies in our Inner Room Therapy Program takes you to meet you two years into your future. This Ideal Future Me Therapy session takes a unique approach by introducing you to how it feels to live your absolute best life feeling confident, peaceful, motivated, successful, healthy, strong. You experience those feelings and understand how natural and easy it is to feel that way.
That Ideal Future You then communicates with Current You and from there wisdoms are shared and limiting beliefs can be highlighted and addressed.
Along with these three sessions (one a month) there are three mentoring sessions where any new awareness’s and questions can be discussed and guidance is offered.
